Here are KC’s Inflatables most frequently asked questions . . .

Frequent FAQ's

How much room do I need?

Approximately an 18′ x 20′ area should be plenty of room for a bounce house, a 20′ x 35′ for a combo unit and 20′ x 40′ for a large slide. The area should be level, free of rocks, dirt, sand, sticks etc. and any in-ground sprinkler systems should be shut off and not protruding. The unit must be within 100 feet of a 20-amp outlet. We also ask that you please clean up the area in which the inflatable unit is to be placed.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes.  We accept check or money order to confirm your reservation. You are required to mail KC’s Inflatables a 50% deposit within 7 days of your booking to hold your reservation. The remaining balance is due on delivery on the date of your party/event by cash or check. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

If you do decide to cancel the rental for any reason, other than weather related, you may be charged a $50 deposit/cancellation fee, if you cancel within 7 days of your scheduled event date. This procedure is similar to a non-refundable deposit.

What is your weather policy?

AN INFLATABLE MUST NOT BE USED WHEN WET INSIDE and/or WHEN WINDS ARE 20 MPH OR MORE. This is a very important safety issue.

If the local weather is forecasted sustained winds of 15-20+ mph (with higher gusts) on your event day and both you and KC’s Inflatables agree before delivery/set-up that it may be unsafe to use, then we will cancel the rental with no charge to you. We reserve the right to cancel your rental.

If the local weather has forecasted a 70% or higher chance of rain, on the date of your event, KC’s Inflatables reserves the right to cancel your rental. An inflatable should NOT be used when it is raining or wet (with exception of a water slide). If the inside of the inflatable unit gets wet, everyone should exit the inflatable unit. When an inflatable unit becomes wet, it is very slippery and dangerous. Once the rain stops you can then dry the unit with towels. Once dry, the inflatable unit should be once again safe to use.

KC’s Inflatables may cancel the rental the day prior or the morning of delivery, if there’s a 70% or higher chance of rain and/or 15-20+ mph sustained winds (with higher gusts). In this case, KC’s Inflatables will contact you the morning of your event to discuss any weather-related issues. If your event is cancelled due to weather-related issues, KC’s Inflatables will refund 50% of your rental fee in the form of a gift certificate for a future rental with KC’s Inflatables, LLC. Your gift certificate will be good for one year from the date of your scheduled event. Please feel free to contact us with any weather policy questions.

Please call us at (262) 679-2219, if you have weather-related questions once your unit has been setup. No refunds will be given once the inflatable has been setup.

Can an Inflatable be set up indoors?

Yes, our inflatable units can be set up inside or outside! You will need to have enough ceiling height (about 15′) to accommodate our inflatable Bouncer Houses and (about 26′) for our Giant Slides. The inflatable unit must not be too near hot lights, A/C vents or any fire hazard. Many commercial halls, malls, gyms, etc., will work just fine.

Why can't I pick up the Bounce House and/or Slide and set it up myself to save some money?

Safety is our number one concern. Some companies may allow the homeowner to pick up and set-up inflatable units; we do not feel that it is a good idea. Our set-up personnel will evaluate the set-up area, use the correct size and type of power cords, and make the all-important connections between the blower and inflatable unit. We also use proper straps and spikes/anchors to secure the inflatable to the ground. Also, each unit weighs approximately 350+ pounds, so injury to you is also our concern.

Where do you deliver?

Our Delivery Area includes but, is not limited to the following: Bayside, Brookfield, Brown Deer, Butler, Burlington, Cudahy, Elm Grove, Elm Dale, Franklin, Germantown, Greenfield, Greendale, Glen Dale, Menomonee Falls, Muskego, Mequon, New Berlin, Oak Creek, River Hills, Pewaukee, Shorewood, South Milwaukee, St. Francis, Waukesha, and Whitefish Bay.

What if I want the inflatable setup where there is no electrical outlet, or at least no outlet within 80 feet?

No worries!! We can setup your inflatable unit virtually anywhere! We will need to bring a generator (additional charge) to power the blower. Please keep in mind that there is a $100 additional charge for a generator rental.

Who sets up the inflatable?

KC’s Inflatables staff sets up the inflatable unit and takes it down when we come to pick it up. Set-up time is approximately 15-20 minutes (25-30 minutes for a slide or combo). KC’s Inflatables asks that if you are done with the inflatable unit, please do not shut down the blower motor. The inflatable unit must be inflated before it is taken down, so that we can inspect for damage and possibly do a preliminary cleaning of the unit. Pick up time is usually 20-30 minutes (40-45 minutes for slides and combos).  All our delivery personnel will be uniformed KC’s Inflatable employees for your safety.

Please call us at (262) 679-2219, if you have weather related questions once your unit has been setup. No refunds will be given once the inflatable has been setup.

How does the inflatable unit stay inflated?

KC’s Inflatables sets up the inflatable unit with a fully enclosed blower motor unit that must stay on the entire time that the inflatable unit is being used (unless winds exceed 20 mph, then it must be shut down). The design of the blower is such that no moving parts are exposed. This is a very important safety feature that you should take into account when children are around. The blower unit must be located within 80 feet of an electrical outlet and each blower motor must have its own separate 20-amp circuit. (We can bring a generator to power the blower; however, there is an additional $100 charge).

Do you have Concession Machine Rentals?

Yes!! We offer Popcorn machines, Cotton Candy machines and Sno Kone machines. These machines are easy and fun to use! Better yet, these fun food machines are discounted when you rent them with one of our Inflatable Party Package Specials!! Our machines are commercially-built and meet rental industry standards. All our equipment is cleaned, sanitized and maintained regularly.

Can I cancel my reservation?

We realize that things come up unexpectedly, so yes you can cancel your rental. However, we do ask that you try to give at least a one week (7 days) notice of your cancellation. No refunds will be given once the inflatable has been setup.

Are your inflatable units clean?

Yes! Cleanliness is part of safety! We clean our inflatable units and all our equipment (concession machines, tables, chairs, etc) every week at our warehouse. We vacuum, spray and wipe/scrub using a high-quality cleaner/disinfectant.

How safe are your inflatable units?

Our inflatable units are constructed with quality and safety in mind! All our units have the “child safety ramp/step” for safe and easy entry/exit.  They are constructed from very durable commercial grade vinyl with double and quadruple stitching. ALL our inflatable units meet and/or exceed ATSM rental industry standards. Each of our inflatable units is equipped with a non-removable list of rules. We will also supply recommended guidelines for safe use and recommended number of children that should be allowed to use the unit at one time.
